Turbo light / rear fog light / euro light

Ok ba maglagay ng rear turbo light or fog light sa GL natin? Parang gusto ko mag palagay, dapat ba sa left side to nilalagay? On some cars/suv meron din sa center bumper like the nissan xtrail. Kindly express your opinion on this mga sir. Thanks

Type ko un nsa center like the Xtrail.. pero nakakpang hinayang kasi mag butas.. Pero I Like!

Nakita ko nasa wikipedia purpose at right posistion ng rear fog lamps, pati yun daytime running lights meron din. Here's the link.

It is a matter of preference Chualie but I (in my own opinion) ill advise having someone drill a hole in the rear bumper just to accommodate the added feature. The shop performing it can literally ruin your bumper if done inappropriately, requiring possible repair and repainting it in the process. In addition brackets may have to be fabricated in order for the lights to lock on firmly to the bumper or else it will fall off. Additional wiring and relays should be installed in order to ensure proper operation. You have to consider all these things but if you know a competent shop who can do it, nothing is really stopping you. The reason (I think) why the x-trail has this is that its tail light is high which is actually not good to put a backup lighting that could cause glaring to drivers at the rear so it is placed below the center of the bumper. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mr. Chairman, It's always good to hear an advice from you. I can now picture the scary procedure to be done for that added light feature parang it's not worth it. Oh well, pwede din naman yun old school type na lang yun naka hung underneath the rear bumper.

The best sana kung ganito, kaso too risky to do JDM style.

No worries Chualie, kahit wala nitong rear lights, maganda pa rin GL mo. Hands down ako sa mga upgrades mo.

i'd say if you want your GL to have euro/turbo lights and still look OEM, i'd go with the xtrail version. as what sir lydemer said, medyo nakakatakot if not done properly. if you want to be safe then yung isang side lang sa tail light ang meron. yun nga lang "medyo" pangit kasi bulag. personally, ayoko nung mga kinakabit lang sa ilalim ng bumper.

ewan ko ba, i always loved cars that are converted to euro version lalo na kung complete OEM accessories. ang linis kasi tignan tapos kung maganda yung pagkagawa ng black trimmings. kailangan ko lang ng lakas ng loob para magawa sa GL ko yun.

I agree with you President gusto ko din yun mga euro na OEM ang dating na pulido. Need to find the OEM light first x trail and find a carshop and that has someone who is a recommended/experienced installer. That is kung magkakaroon ka ng lakas ng loob to do this otherwise "no guts no glory" hehe.. Kailangan ng tiyaga at research to accoplish this upgrade.

^^ meron dito sa fairview na shop that sells it, creative concept. malapit ito sa mufflerland kung saan ka nag-pakabit ng tail pipe. if im not mistaken nasa 2-3k ang price. for sure taiwan ito and not the original. dami naman mapag-bibilhan nito, dun lang sa installer ang kailangan mahanap. me cutting kasi na mangyayari kaya risky gawin.

naalala ko lang, merong ibang previa/fortuner na meron ding rear fog. me nakikita din akong innova na kinakabit nila ito. if you notice meron silang rubber moulding na nakapa-ikot sa bumper kung saan nakakabit yung rear fog. kung meron tayong makita na same rubber moulding pwede na i-take yung risk since matatakpan yung part na hiniwa for the rear fog.

wow this is the one na hinahanap ko, kaso wala kayang pang nissan?, if i'm not mistaken meron Honda na naka embed sa redcover. Medjo mahal nga sya.

rear fog ng extrail kaso taiwan to P1500 pero pag may installation aabutin ng 3k plus kasi momolde pa daw sa fiberglass ang kasing bago e cut sa bumper tapos rerepaint pa yung portion.

^^ yan ang mahirap sir kung sakaling i-go ang ganyang setup. medyo matrabaho plus yung butas nga.
