dual aircon

Unfortunately, the design of the GL does not accommodate dual aircon setup. If it were to be done, the changes would be huge, really expensive and could ruin the aesthetics and technical intent of the original design. Remember that dual aircon setup requires an additional evaporator and much bigger compressor and condenser to begin with. If this were an easy job to begin with, any of the off the mill aircon shops would have done this already.
Now lets begin on what I do know and read in several websites. A center console blower which technically channels cold air from the air conditioning system to reach the 2nd and 3rd row is available in Thailand and Indonesia models but not in the Philippines; which is a shame. You can order this and have this installed which is better than conversion. If you can't shell out the extra dough for this, this is what the GL is equipped with; if you observe closely there is a topmost vent on the center console. The function of this vent is that it channels cold air to the rear by ricocheting the air from the headliner to the 2nd and 3rd rows. You just need to set the blower to the highest setting and once the cabin room is cool enough, you can lower the blower settings. If it is really hot, you really need to set the blower to the highest setting in order to manage the cabin temperature to tolerable and comfortable settings. From experience, I never really had a problem with the cooling ability of my GL since this practice has been proven to work time and time and again. I hope this little explanation helps.
