Yung NAVGO pa din ang gamit ko and so far di pa ako nililigaw mas ok ba yung Garmin?

OT: ayus na ayus sir. pakita ko sa iyo pag-EB natin (sana naman me sched na ulit) me nakukuha na din ako na updated maps for garmin. sigurado magugustuhan mo.

ano gamit mo na GPS sa GL mo, ung NAVGO ba? pinag-laruan ko yung NAVGO ko and was able to install Garmin XT and it worked!!!

@aln, how did you install the Garmin XT software to NAVGO? saan ka nakakadownload ng updated map ng Garmin? yung brother ko kasi garmin yung gamit nya from US pero pangit yung map from roadguide.ph na nadownload ko. Sa GPS software kasi parang mas ok sakin yung garmin kesa dun sa naka install sa navgo.

@sphinx, our NAVGO GPS runs on Windows CE 5.0. me utility sa PC na kailangan install para ma-access yung registry ng Windows para mag-boot siya sa Windows OS. pag ok na yun, copy lang yung Garmin XT pati map. meron lang kailangan baguhin sa settings ng Garmin XT para ma identify niya what port and baud rate to use. i'll try to maka a guide this weekend pano ma-install and configure yung NAVGO natin for Garmin.

As for the map, dati sa roadguide ako. medyo mahirap maging contributor dahil yung alam ko halos eh na contribute na. kakahanap ko sa net napuntahan ko yung Open Street Map (OSM) na website. itong site is free and lahat pwede mag-contribute and download the maps. every week me update. hindi lang sa pinas pati sa ibang bansa pwede ka makakuha basta search mo lang. nagamit ko yung NAVGO ko sa Singapore with the Singapore map, hehehe...

ito yung site for the Philippine Map. osmphil_garmin

get the "compressed gmapsupp.img" and put it on the Garmin folder on your GPS. hindi lang nga kasing pulido ng roadguide pero at least updated.

please try to contribute din para sulit and nakukuha natin na updated maps.

@ sir chualie and sir chat2twenty4....i had my hu changed(a generic china made) but the problem is hindi sya salpak sa butas...and im not satisfied sa pagkaka gawa (i had it done somewhere in pasig)..unlike your ones..swak na swak...did they had to use a" kikil" to widen the butas a little bit on yours? i;ll post pics if i gota chance...

No sir they didn't, sakto po yung unit na kinabit sa akin dun sa provision for the 2din unit. hindi ko na pinakabit yung kasama na plastic bracket to cover up the gaps if any, kasi sakto naman sya.

baka motorized yung unit mo sir? alam ko kasi pag motorized talagang naka-usli ng unti para makagalaw yung screen.

actually un kay sir Chualie nakalapat, un sakin naka usli. I think depende talaga sa unit na ikakabit.

sir san po pwedeng magpa install ng audio system like po nito nasa picture na ito. and how much it will cost?

2"LCD monitor head unit - price range is between 10-16k (china) depende sa features na gusto mo. normally ang nagpapamahal dyan is yung GPS
headrest monitor - 5-8k, again depende sa iyo kung gusto mo yung mga hi-resolution na monitors mas mahal
subwoofer (pic) - nasa 5-7k ata ito if im not mistaken

madami sa banawe na shops or pwede ke jeff tan ng araneta cars ata (along araneta ave.) or ke sir jedi ng tsikot.com

Hi guys, I'm planning to replace my GL's HU to either a:
(a) Pioneer AVH-2450BT (16k at Blade w/ free speaker, 16,500 at LA Car Accessories)
(b) Kenwood DDX-4031BT (18k at Blade w/ free backup camera, 19,999 at LA Car Accessories)

Which do you think is a better buy? My requirements are:
- should be able to stream audio through bluetooth
- can handle phone calls through bluetooth
- can be upgraded to connect to headrest monitors in the future

Of course, the user interface should be easy to understand and operate.
