40 PMS
Hi guys.
I just remembered, PMS 40 might be the costliest. On the top the usual, the front brake pads (for the A/T models) will be replaced, as well as the brake fluid and engine coolant. I think it will be in the vicinity of P11k, more or less, if you're using synthetic oil.

Re: 40 PMS
Wala nang pera pres. Bumili ako pick up pang harabas.
Just had my 40k pms yesterday.
Scope :
1. Inspection and cleaning of breaks. Ok pa preno ni GL di pa palitin. So nakasave ako brake pads.
2. Replace brake fluid and coolant
3. Change oil - synthetic
4. Clean cabin filter
5. Replace shock absorber ( 2 ) rear ( warranty )
6. Check malfunctioning fuel gauge - floater for replacement under warranty ( sa 50k ko na papalitan)
7. Tune up and underchassis tightening + inspection.
Nakalimutan ko silipin resibo. Di ko alam kung kumpleto nailista ko. All in all 5500 binayaran ko. Di nagpalit ng spark plug at atf.

40K PMS
Good day and Happy New Year to all.
I will be having my 40K PMS soon. Ask ko lng mga sirs if any of your SAs recommended to reface your rotor discs before replacing the brake pads.
Front brake pads - P4,073.00
Rear brake pads - 2,868.00
Labor - for pads 990.00
Reface discs 3,600.00 (front and rear)
microfilter 2,222.00 (aircon)
40K PMS 7,138.56 (labor and parts)
Total P20,891.56
Namamahalan po kasi ako, kaya I am asking if necessary ba talaga pa-reface.
Thanks in advance for your comments/replies.

Take time to refer to your GL's manual and discuss with your SA the necessary check up and replacement parts included and not included in the 40K para mas clear. In addition get a 2nd opinion from another service center if you feel if the list provided above is not reasonable. My SA told me before that the most expensive work is the 40 and 80K check up so I better prepare for it. Now on the refacing part, the SA should be able to convince you that the surface disk is scratched and deep enough to require refacing and if not then its your decision to refuse it. The same goes with the rear brakes.

Re: 40 PMS
had my GL's 40K PMS at Nissan Shaw.
i had an appointment scheduled so when i arrived at 8am i was given a priority number 4 and time promised is 2pm. Benjo (he is our (Chairman) favorite mechanic) was not there so my SA (Zaldy) assigned my GL to someone else. Anyway here are the details...
Parts Replaced
air filter 1,005
oil filter 455
wurth brake cleaner 350
washer drain plug oil pan 51.84
coolant 646
gt oil mineral 883.99 (4 liters)
brake fluid 142 (.5 liters)
engine flush 320 (they are still using these?!)
discount -192.68
SUB TOTAL 3,661.15
Jobs done
change engine oil and filter
tightened body bolt
engine flushing
replaced drain plug washer
replaced engine coolant and air filter
lubricated belt (there is noise on my alternator or compressor according to my SA)
checked all lights, belts, hoses and battery
checked all fluids and top-up
checked all brake system
open all wheels and cleaned all brake system
SUB TOTAL 3,191.94
TOTAL 6,853.09
spark plugs was not replaced since the one installed were platinum which can last up to 100K kms (daw). ATF for the gear was not replaced also (my GL is M/T) i forgot why.
they recommended that my compressor and alternator to be replaced because according to them me noise na daw. i was complaining about an ik-ik sound under. ito ata yung nag-chichismisang daga ni sir badtoy (nasan na pala yun?). yung akin daw is galing sa compressor or alternator, pag nag engage kasi yung aircon dun naririnig. so para sure daw eh papalitan na nila yung dalawa, pumayag na ako since by october wala na warranty GL ko so baka abutan ako pagkatapos nag warranty eh masakit sa bulsa pag nagkataon. the compressor ata is around 30-40k while alternator is around 30k, not sure ha. i dont know kung tama ba na palitan na nila parehas o hanapin muna nila talaga kung ano ang cause ng problema, baka kasi yung ipalit sa akin eh mas madali masira hehehe...
anyway, time finished is 2pm just like what they have promised. so sa mga nearing 40k PMS dyan better save up na kasi malaki ang gastos. i have a story pa pala pero gawan ko na lang ng ibang thread kasi mahaba na ito.
