casa body paint & repair contractors

recently, my car was involved in an accident. sumalpok yung motor sa gilid ng gl ko habang naka full stop ako waiting for the stoplight. i opted to get police report to get insurance sana, but my assessment for the damage is would be less than the amount of the participation policy of our insurance kaya di ko na pinasok sa insurance. I told the driver ng motorcycle that i want the repair done in the casa but Ill help him out to get discounts. There is this SA name jessie sa Nissan Gallery Ortigas who helped as a lot. He told us that instead of letting the nissan service department do the assessment and pay so much, we can actually go directly to the contractor who do the paint and the repair in the Nissan gallery ortigas casa. so what was done was there are no papers needed, no evaluation and assessment by the service advisor and no high fees by the casa itself. we talked directly to the contractor who do the body paint and repair of nissan gallery, they said, kaya nila isingit yung GL for a lower price and they use the same materials (same paint, they used in the casa or in the plant), and may Quality control pa. the cost of the repair of my running board cost only 2500 instead of the 3500 for the paint and 800 for the latero job. The SA said that it is illegal pero tyempohan lang daw kapag konti lang ang work nila. I dont know kung lahat ng nissan dealer have contractors like this pero the SA said na the owner of NGO and Nissan gallery in Q ave. make use of contractors for the body paint and repair unlike other nissan gallery from other places. yun lang sir. baka sakali makatulong.. hanapin nyo si jessie SA ng NGO.

Kamusta naman yun trabaho nila Sir? Nakuha ba yung color and ano po ba color ng GL nyo? Sir pa PM ng contact number ng contractor. TIA

ang alam ko meron talagang mga "contractors" ang mga dealers, dito nga nagka-issue dati dahil na media ito.

sir chualie, ok naman yung trabaho sir, kuhang kuha nila yung kulay. cool blue yung color ng GL. di ko nakuha yung number nung contractor sir kasi wala na daw silang shop talaga. mukhang contractor sila ng autohub. pagbalik ko ulit ng NGO, kausapin ko ulit para makuha yung contact number.

Add-on experience on this one:

I had my wife's Nissan Livina repaired in Nissan Mantrade.  Nabanga sa likod ng passenger jeep.  The ff are the repairs that are needed:

1. Reform ng rear bumper.
2. Repair ng rear lift panel (rear door). May dent na umabot sa rear floor.
3. Repair nun rear panel (floor).  Hindi tuloy mailock kung hindi itotodo ang pagsara ng lift panel.


After almost a week.  I called Nissan Mantrade to check (they never called me as agreed upon).  Sabi pwede ko na pickup the next day.  Nag undergo lang Quality Control.

Kanina pinuntahan ko na for pickup kasama si mrs.  Nag halfday pa ako sa office para ipickup.  Unfortunately, as per checking yun problema na hindi mailock ang lift panel kung hindi ihahampas nandun pa din..mas worse pa..tunog lata pag sinara.  Downer agad.  Tapos yun pagkaka-rubbing ng rear bumper parang hindi maayos.  Dami puti puti yun rear bumper (uneven color).  I hope hindi sya sa uneven paint.

Antay daw kami ni mrs. sa lobby. Ipapaadjust daw.   After a few minutes, check daw uli.  Sabi ko ganun pa din. Sabi nun kausap ko dapat may pwersa pagsara at saka baka kailangan ko na yun oto wala kasi yun latero (reword statement for "pwede na yan").  Sabi ko hindi ganun ang Livina (considering na bagong oto) at hindi ko kukunin yan ng ganyan (I expected more from casa at hindi "pwede na yan").  Buti meron isa pang livina sa area na for change oil.  Sabi ko dun sa kausap ko subukan nya lift panel nun para malaman nya kung ano yun sinasabi ko.  Eh di nakita naman nya na open close lang ng nalolock na.

At the end, babalikan ko daw kasi mamya pagdating nun latero (i suppose it is a re-phrase word for "tatawagan pa namin contractor").  So sayang ang taxi fare, half-day absent, at effort, dahil hindi ko pwede maantay dahil hindi in-house ang latero.

Hay... gusto ko sana dun na lang sa trusted talyer ko.  Nagkataon lang iba insurer ni mrs at hindi accredited dun yun trusted talyer ko.   I had a hunch na ang craftmanship depende din talaga sa dealer o talyer.

I will report back ko kung maiiayos nga ng Nissan Mantrade yun misalignment.   The thing is, para saan pa yun Quality Control?

After half a day, I finally got our GL.  Bumalik na yun lapat ng rear door.

Nissan Mantrade was very apologetic about the rework and it looks like nilinis nila or carwash yun GL namin to make up for it.  Kanina kasi umaga madumi pa from buffing/rubbing.  Masungit na kasi ako sa phone kanina.

So, ok na.   Pag may problem daw uli dun sa rework ibalik ko lang.

for those who need to have something repainted and gusto sa casa, i suggest Nissan Gallery Ortigas. ok sila mag ayos. had my bumper replaced before nung nabangga ok naman ang kulay.

yan nga din isa sa consideration ko dahil global city area kami. however, naisip ko mantrade kasi both near global and makati where we are working.

anyway, charge to experience. it affirms na casa or regular body repair shop yun craftmanship depende din talaga sa tao. mahal pa naman sa casa. isinibay ko kasi yun repair ng isang door (personal cost) dun sa insurance claim ko sa paggawa sa mantrade. mas mahal ng 1k dun sa trusted talyer ko ang casa yun door repaint pero eto nga may quality control issue kami naencounter sa huli.
