30 k PMS

I had my 30k PMS kanina at NGQA. I provided my own fully synthetic oil kaya oil filter lang pinalitan that cost P406.25, misc shop supplies P178.58 plus P807.80 labor for the ff check ups performed:
Retightened engine drain plug and wheel nut.
Checked all lights, clean air filter
Lubricate door locks, hinges and glass run
Checked and evaluate underchassis

Total for labor and parts pus tax is................P1,559.74

Recommendation are the ff:
Need to replace Front wiper left and right
Need to replace front brake pads. Cost is P 4,078.00 plus labor ---ouch!
Need attention engine oil sludge- dahil hindi ko pinagamitan ng flashing during change oil----any opinion on this mga Sir?

Oil sludge can be caused by several factors; using low grade oil or additives, using the oil for a long period of time (beyond the recommended limits) or extreme heat as a result of overheating. Using synthetic oil will not produce sludge as it is formulated to withstand extreme operating conditions and the recommendation to use flushing during an oil change is just to make you spend more.

It is highly recommended to replace the wiper and brake pads when worn. Brakes may be expensive but it is better that your GL's brakes work when it is needed the most. A lot of accidents happen due to brake failures leading to expensive repairs, if not fatalities.

Agree brake pads should be changed as soon as possible. About the engine sludge kung regular naman change oil and filter tapos synthetic pa gamit di ako kakabahan. Sabi lang siguro yun kasi ikaw nagdala ng sarili mong oil.

Sa tingin ko nga, and hindi ko kasi pinagamitan ng flushing that cost around 6++.

Just change my front break pads na hindi na sabay sa 30 PMS. My 3 day discount ngayon sa NGQA 10% on parts and 40% on labor.

nagtataka din nga ako bat gumagamit ng engine flush ang dealer eh bago pa naman yung mga sasakyan natin. galing mo talga sa timing ng discount, hehehe

Had my 30K PMS kahit na 32600 na odo. Hirap isingit sa schedule.

Inabot ako ng 6058+ kasama na aircon filter. Mas malamig na ang aircon nung pinalitan yung filter. Inayos na din nila yung rattle ng tailgate. Mas pansin ko lang tuloy ngayon yung ibang maliliit na rattle sa ibang lugar. hehehe.

Ang pinakamaganda sa PMS na to, may ginawa sila na part ng warranty - yung strut cover linagyan nila ng libre!!!

May bago din sila kung kelan papalitan ang spark plugs na platinum. Instead sa 40K sa 30K na daw pero since sa old schedule pa yung sa akin, sa 40K na lang daw palitan ang spark plugs. malamang next year na yun.

bat yung shaw sabi nasa 80-100k ang platinum?

yan din ang sabi sa akin ng Nissan Iloilo sir. But I had mine replaced at around 60k just for my peace of mind. Dapat talaga kasi dyan, mag issue ng advisory ang NMPI on that matter for everybody's information and reference.

To clarify, is is recommended in the service manual that platinum spark plugs should be replaced between 80K to 100K odometer reading. However it is in the discretion of the service adviser to recommend an early replacement if needed. Checking usually starts during the 40k service unless a problem is reported which is spark plug related before or after this check up.

I agree sir. And I think it would do GL owners good if all SA's would advice them that their spark plugs are designed to last for 100t kms but that would be subject to conditions of use. In such case, spark plugs are subject to periodic inspection and may be replaced earlier than expected. Wouldn't that be nice?
