Cost of Parts and services for our GL

Let's make a thread sa price ng mga services at parts for our GL. Para may reference tayo on how much sa mga bagay na to. Let's try to include the part number if available para pwede tayong makapag compare sa iba. I ask several parts sa NGQA kanina that concern our GL and here it is:

Steering joint coupling more or less nasa P 11,000
Shock absorber front P4,938 per piece
Shock absorber rear P4,568 per piece
Engine support more or less nasa P3,000
Oil Filter P406.25
NGK platinum spark plug P531.25 each so sa set of 4 is P2,125




Sa services naman
AC cleaning nasa P6,500 daw should be done yearly daw

Aircon cleaning in a yearly basis is something that you should be thinking twice since the GL has an aircon filter element which prevents dust from accumulating in the evaporator unit and reducing the likelihood of frequent cleaning. It is however recommended to have it inspected in a yearly basis rather than have it opened every year for cleaning. My dad's 1997 Nissan cefiro never had an aircon problem since its filter element has been inspected and if need be replaced every year after its warranty expired.

My GL's ac is great as of the moment, 3 years and half old na and 4 times ko na pinapalinis yun ac filter. Does this means na hindi pa nya kailangan ng overall cleaning? When is that right time Sir?

Unfortunately no as the cleaner element does its job to clean the external part of the evap unit. The only time that you need to have the system cleaned is that if there are already contaminants in the system which can be viewed through the drier unit as a result of a leak. Better have the cleaner element (or filter) replaced as merong life span yan (recommended every 20K). I had it replaced during the 20K service.

Ang mahal naman ng spark plug sa casa e ang bosch na platinum spark plug nasa 800 lang ang apat.

Oo nga sir mahal sa casa, kaya parang no choice na dahil complicated ipa tune ang GL hindi pwede. Sa ordinaryong auto service center lang.

Front disk brake pads cost P3,636.00 and labor is around P800.00

vp, yung plugs ba na posted mo is yung ordinary plugs lang ba? hindi ito yung good for 40k++kms?

Pres, yun platinum sparkplugs post ko kasi ito daw ang stock na nakakabit sa GL.

thanks sir, 40K na din kasi ako and last PMS ko na me warranty. graduate na GL ko sa 3 years warranty, hehehe... gusto ko na pa tune up

Are these all from casa quotes? Any quotes from Banawe and replacements?

I need to have my engine support replaced too. The rubber for one of them is now broken?

me too... last week was diagnosed that all of my engine supports need to be replaced - tatlo yun db?
my SA told me to canvass at "NISMAN" located at 10th ave Caloocan or at Masangkay, Bambang, Manila; tel # 244-77-64
their prices for all the 3 was P7,600 (2300+2300+2000); estimated CASA labor naman is P1,500ea
sabi ni SA, lahat raw papalitan na...
btw, my SA is working at the former Nissan dealer located at Balintawak QC...

Yung sa akin din na engine support ay need to replaced. Parang sabay sabay naman nasira mga engine support natin. Na raised ko sa SA ko sa Mantrade about it and according to him ay
sasabihin daw nya sa planta.

nakapag-palit na kayo ng engine supports? try ko pa-check yung sa GL ko by next week.

Sa next pms ang replacement ng engine supports ko Pres. At kasama sa recommendation ay yung steering coupling na kakapalit lang last year at yung brake shoe. Parang ang bilis naman masira.

Ano po ba problem sa steering coupling? Parang nabasa ko na marami nga nagkakaproblema dito.

Bendix brake pads (front pair) cost me P1.8k sa Banawe (did not barter na eh).
Apology for not being able to provide the part number of Bendix, but the design of the pads seems pretty common naman.

Got a quote from casa for aircon cleaning ...whew!!

Then I also replaced my front wheel hub-bearing assembly. But opted to have it done outside casa, the price difference is not much since OEM lang talaga ang wheel hub-bearing assembly na available kahit saan shops ako magtanong. If sa casa ipapagawa, it would take them 3 days, iwan ko GL.

Service done at Servitek in Better Living (Bicutan)
720 per wheel = 1,440

at Servitek, it took only 2.5 hours. Madali lang palitan actually, removing front wheels, brakes, brake rotors, removing bolts on wheel hub from spindle, remove old hub, install new hub (with proper torquing), install everything back.

Will have to re-align and camber correction since nagalaw yung spindle, so far wala naman kabig. But will have it aligned sometime just to make sure.
