Aircon filter cleaning

Have my ac filter cleaning done sa mega motion banawe cleaning cost P180 only, pero kaya naman DIY Thanks for the guide sir yoogix.

Tip when cleaning sabi ng service crew, upon removing the filter do not wash it, air dryer lang, then gently brush each column ng filter using an old toothbrush para matangal lahat ng dumi. Brushing by dukot na din yung cooling coil na maeexpose pag tinangal mo yun filter.

Matagal ko nang gusto gawin yan kaso hindi ako marunong magdismantle ng globe compartment.. How will you compare ung difference nung before and after nung cleaning?

By the way sir jojo i saw you last weekend sa sm the block, nasa loob lang kami ng resto nung nakita kita kya hindi kita natawag..

Ang laki ng diffrence, bumalik sa brandnew ang lakas, kahit number one lang solve ka na sa lamig, prior to that nag nanumber 3 pa ako pag 5 kaming occupants, 2 naman pag 1 to 2 pax. Big diffrence. remove screw lang naman pag dismantle nito.

Sayang d tayo nag kita, dapat mag eb na tayo ulit kahit na walang dahilan, basta meet up lang..

Medjo kasi parang paper fiber lang ang material nito, kaya extra care pag binugahan ng hangin para d mapunit.

nasisira ba talga pag tanggal o ganun talga itsura niya?

Just a suggestion. The original Nissal A/C filter can last up to 20k. It can last longer if it is cleaned by air pressure every 5k. So pwedeng i-request sa service personnel ng casa na ipa linis every 5k PMS. In the long run, mas secured ang aircon compressor and filaments because it filters more effectively. By the way, a busted A/C compressor might cost up to P40t to repair.

mine was changed during my 10k pms, madumi na. dahil din siguro dun sa problem ko sa smoke coming inside the cabin.

That could be one of the causes. But the more significant factor is the driving environment, i. e., the area/s where you habitually pass by. May I suggest that ipa air pressure cleaning mo na lang ang filter every 5K PMS.

i had my 20k PMS last month..
they replaced the aircon filter- cost me P2k++
(napunit na daw at ang kapal ng dumi)
i cant remember kasi if i had it cleaned since i acquired my GL..
so my fault...
so, tama sila--you can have it sprayed sa casa whenever you have the PMS...

yes it can be done, sana lang maingat din yung mechanics baka kasi mapunit naman yung filter. hehehe

@chaulie i was there yesterday having Bong checked out our aircon kasi ang hina na sobra ang buga ng hangin. It was P380 pala sir for the labor sir hehe. sabi ni Bong skin na magpapadala ka daw ng mga GLs dun ah haha. i went naman hehehe. mukhang malakas na yata ang buga nya ngaun. i will check it further. Thank you for the recommendation.

My first A/C filter change was sometime in my PMS 30. Nag PMS 50 ako yesterday. Pina clean ko ang A/C filter. According to the Nissan Iloilo mechanic, pwede pa raw ang filter for the next 5-10 thousand kms. Cleaning the A/C filter every 5K PMS really pays.

Sir Loopers, bought this genuine ac filter for our GL in a newly opened nissan specialty store near our place. P750 only and orig to. It looks different though from the one that was pulled out and cleaned from my GL. (see upper thread)

Hi fellow loopers, it has been a while since I posted here. I have been just lurking and trying to steal time to post and talk with fellow loopers. Anyway, i just can't help notice po sir chualie, you got the engine air cleaner, yes that is the air filter/cleaner na nasa airbox ng GL natin. Check your airbox located upper right hand inside the engine compartment, just above your battery. You can also trace the air intake snorkel that would point you to the airbox going to the throttle body of the engine. That is a good catch though, 2,500 petot sa casa yan sir, so nakamura ka pa din at p750. I would usually change mine every 15k to ensure my GLs engine breathes easy

Then again sir note lang po, that is not the aircon filter po.

mga gurus good day ask ko lang kung ,meron engine air filter and aircon filter na washable para sa gl ?

@yoogix, is it the same as our engine filter? parang iba pa din ang sidings eh. me rubber or plastic pa sa gilid yung engine air filter natin diba?

@chualie, na try mo na ba isukat sir? mura na nga kung orig yan. nasa 2k pataas ang orig niyan..

hi sir, meron locally available na washable filter. i'm just not sure about the quality although me mga taga fortuner club na bumili... please click below...

@aln, yes sir i am sure po thats the looks like the engine air filter. noticed sa picture meron sya plastic/rubber seal sa side which holds the paper filter. Then yung sa airbox natin meron din makapal na plastic holder na kung saan dun nakalapat yung filter, and yun yung huhugutin mo to replace the filter, baka po yun yung sinasabi nyo na plastic sidings sir.

I accidentally dropped my filter nung hinugot ko one time at naiwan sa kamay ko yung plastic na holder, thats when i discovered na meron palang holder. I usually blow air at the other side of the filter to clean it, sinasabay ko tuwing nagpapa hangin ako ng gulong

@pres aln d ko na fifit yun filter sir, I'll post na lang once I did.

Meron ac filter na oem price nya is P2,150.00, ang mahal naman, mura na nga daw to sabi nun shop, ganyan daw talaga price ng ac filter.

nakabit ko na yun air filter as decribe by sir yoogix, swak na swak nga sya and exactly the same yung tinangal ko na 24,000 kilometer year old filter, kahit na anong buga ng pressurize air eh talagang maitim na kaya pamalit na talaga. Am happy with it. Next ko naman papalitan eh yung ac filter.

Hi sir chualie, I am glad to be of help sir. A clean engine air filter will help our GL breath better and you may or may not notice it, but there will be very slight improvement on performance and fc.
