Lighting Upgrade- HID, LED etc...

Naka HID na ako for my Headlights ang foglamps parehong superwhite. Yun sa headlight ko pagnaka High beam, halogen lights ang sisindi pag naka dim naman tsaka magiging HID. Pinalitan ko din ng LED lights yun front park light, reverse light, and yun rear plate number light para white na lahat ng lights ko.

buhayin ko lang sana to, planning to install HID on my GL too.

For the Philips HID, san po ba sa Taguig and kung meron na rin number, kindly post, thanks in advance

nag palit ako ng front foglight HID from 8k to 3k sa eclipse del monte P3,200.00 ang price thunder brand yung big ballast ang pinalagay ko kasi mas matibay daw kesa dun sa bago na compact.

- shine up to 90% more light on the street*

i liked the NB Plus since it gives me a longer beam than the stock and mas malinaw sa gabi. got it for 1.4k at sulit

Nice nice pres, question lang, mas mataas ba wattage nyang NB kesa dun sa stock ng GL? if so need pa ba na lagyan ng relay or plug in na lang? if not, kaya ba accomodate yung wattage na yan ng wires and ano kaya ang max watts na pwede ilagay sa GL para hindi na maglagay ng relay? Daming tanong ano hehhehe...

Important warning lang dun sa balak mag upgrade ng HID for the headlights ng GL, hindi po kaya ng plastic chrome plating na nakalagay sa loob ng headlight. Nag kakaroon ng chipping sa chrome plated walls dahil sa init ng HID and nakakaitim din ito ng clear plastic ng headlight. Sa foglamps naman mukang ok lang dahil wala naman reaction so far sa 3000 kelvin yellow HID yun mga components ng forlamps. Sabi din ng SA ko sa NGQA nakakaitim daw nga ng headlights ang superwhite 8000 kelvin na HID. It happen to me, don't let it happen to you Sirs.

^^ stock wattage of our GL sa headlights is 60/55w which is same sa binili ko na NB Plus. Osram din ang stock natin so same brand lang din. plug and play na lang ito ika nga, no need for ceramic sockets and additional relay or wires.

sayang yung head light mo, i-cover ba ng insurance yun? kaya una pa lang medyo hesitant na ako sa HID kasi baka hindi makayanan ng head light assembly natin.

Pag d naka lusot malamang ipa itim ko some of the chrome plated walls ng headlight katulad nun nakalagay sa headlight ng adventure.

Pres, mala HID po ba liwanag nung NB plus? Available ba yan sa mga Blade or Ace Hardware?

@bobot63t, a retrofit will be the best option for cars that does not have an OEM HID. yung nga lang babaklasin yung HL bago ma install also mataas na yung price.

@Bin, it depends sir on how you see it. kung yung porma ng kulay ng HID ang gusto ma achieve hindi po pero kung yung functionality na it gives more light to the road, yes. what i like most is the cutoff ng ilaw, malakas siya pero hindi nakakasilaw. tyempuhan sa Ace sir eh, sa Sulit ako nakakuha ng ilaw.

Sir, ano po ung socket type ng park lights and license plate lights. wedge ba or peanut.. sorry.. newbie here..

Sir chualie, hindi ba mas mainit ang halogen kesa sa HID? ask ko lang, kung sa 8000 kelvin lang ba nangyayare to or bsta HID?

At first yun din ang akala ko, na mas mainit ang hologen pero i was wrong mas mainit pala ang HID mas mababa lang ang cosumption ng HID sa kuryente. According to my SA yun super white na 8000 kelvin lang ang reported na nakakacause ng burn sa headlight reflectors wala pa daw ibang color ng HID case na napresent/ reported sa kanila. It is better not to take the risk Sir.

Nako, sayang naman.. buti pa ung mga lumang kotse nakakayanan ng headlight assembly nila HID. anyways, thanks sa info..

thinkin about the morimoto mini h1 and a retrofit. medyo pricey nga lang.

sir chualie - ako naka HID na plug n play mag almost 1.5 years na, ok naman hindi nangitim lens ng livina ko. I used 6k for almost a year then 4.8k naman after, so far so good. Baka sa 8k lang siguro nangigitim?

sa mga gusto mag pa retrofit ng shrouds, the problem that you will encounter (or rather the HID installer) is that ayaw matunaw ng sealant ng headlights natin unfortunately. Hindi kaya ng heatgun na normally ginagamit para matunaw yung sealant ng headlight para mabuksan, matagal ko ng gustong gawin to kaso yun nga, when I opted to have projectors installed in my livina, mas nauna matunaw yung lens ng headlight, hindi pa rin natutunaw yung sealant. Ibang klase yung sealant na gamit sa livina natin from other jap cars, kaya yun, nauwi ako sa plug and play na HID na lang.

Sana may mahanap kayo installer na kaya makapagbukas ng maayos nung headlight natin using just heat and not a dremel, ok yun

May nakapagtry na ba sa inyo ng Philips Diamond Vision na 5000k. Meron nito sa casa halogen lang pero bluish light ang ilaw 2500 pesos daw. According sa mga reviews ok naman daw parang HID na din halos ang dating.

and probably yung 15k niya na setup is yung morimoto na H1 nga. tapos next would be 19.5K for the retrofit. nabanggit ko nga medyo mahirap buksan headlight. sabi niya wala daw problem yun. anyway looking forward to to this next month.
