my wife had a blown tire while driving this morning which was just less than 1km from our house. there were no signs of puncture, as in me crack lang. i already informed my SA and he said that he'll get back to me tomorrow. separate warranty claim daw yun. sana nga at under warranty pa....

blown tire... Empty Re: blown tire...

Post  aln Sat May 29, 2010 9:49 pm

we went to bridgestone at the fort to have the blown tire checked as advised by our SA. unfortunately, after being checked we found out that the tire was deliberately slashed which caused the tire to blow. mukhang na modus operandi si misis kasi malapit sa vulcanizing shop nangyari. since hindi sumabog yung tire on itself, it is not covered by the warranty. bibili tuloy kami ng gulong!!! hay naku talaga yung mga taong walang magawang matino!

ingats na lang tayo lagi!!

blown tire... Empty can i claim warranty for old tire?

Post  jb2010 Mon Jul 16, 2012 5:48 pm

Good day GL owners. I have a problem with the tires of my GL (Luxury). I acquired my GL around March 2010. Meron kasi ako one (front-right) tire na sumabog. The stock tire is a Bridgestone B250 (185/55/R15) and wala na raw stock dito sa Pinas non. Nireklamo ko sa nissan kasi I felt that they gave me old tires na baka questionable pa yung quality. At the very least ay dapat 10 (or 2010) yung last two digits ng gulong ko kasi march 2010 ko kinuha. Sabi rin ng mga ibang kakilala ko, kapag kukuha ka ng tire, dapat bagong bago ang production date, kasi tire manufacturers always use this as an important basis in determining the status of the tire. I am still waiting for updates sa mga taga nissan un avenue for this. Will surely appreciate any inputs regarding this, or if you have similar experience. Maraming salamat and God keep all of us safe always.

Good day mga ka loopers. I had a problem with my stock tire sa GL (Bridgestone B250). I already had 4 vulcanizing job done with the tires in 2years. Ipalagay na lang natin one for each tire.

I am now using my spare tire as a replacement. I know it's a mortal sin to drive around without a spare tire. Konting ipon and time para makapag palit ng gulong. Ang gastos, since i need to buy 5 tires including the spare. Hoping wala naman sanang maging problema while nag iipon pangbili ng tires.

Bridgestone B250 tire; 185/65 R15; year manufactured 2008; thread dept is about 50% remaining (estimate ko lang).

Sir yoogix, ganyan din experience ko with the tires of my GL (B250 185/55). Yung sa akin, i bought it march 2010.

They have very good reviews on balance between performance and comfort:

Pirelli Cinturato P1
Bridgestone Turanza GR90
Bridgestone Turanza ER300 or T001

I have no idea sa prices pa, pero since these are premium brands, I am expecting price range of 4k to 6k a piece.

Hello LOOPers. About the issue that I raised regarding old production date ng stock tires, I got a slightly positive na response. NMPI finally sent me a letter to explain their side and address my concerns. Sabi ni NMPI i-reimburse nila yung 50% of the amount I paid in replacing my two busted tires. Originally, i told them that I would need to replace four tires, because hindi ako confident sa quality ng tires considering yung old production date, and para may peace of mind ako. Also, dahil imported yung tires at walang stock dito, baka mapilitan ako na complete set of four tires of a different brand and/or design bilhin ko so that matched lahat. I haven't actually purchased any replacement tire, yet, medyo may konting mixup sa details ng letter, pero in short, may libre ako isang gulong. Regarding the old production date, their explanation is that this normally happens kung imported ang tires at stocked sa warehouse, which is the same daw sa routine nila for Completely Knocked Down parts. Was aiming to have at least two na free tires, pero ayos na siguro to, baka tumagal na naman yung process at nakaka-stress din mangulit, hehehe. Their letter also said that their standard warranty for tires is 3 years (limited warranty). Although kapag mag-file ka ng warranty, the tire supplier would be the one handling it. Sa kaso ko, si bridgestone. They checked all my tires for free. Dapat daw kapag may butas or gash, sa isang accredited bridgestone center lang ipatingin at ipagawa, which is quite impractical really.

By weekend plan ko bili ng 4 tires. I browsed the posts sa mags and tire uprade topic ng forum natin, and swak sa budget and requirements (comfort and safety) yung recommendation ni sir eggy_reyes - Yokohama C-drive 205/60 R15. This is for C drive2.

Salamat and good day sa lahat! Smile

@ jb2010, nice to know na kahit papano eh meron ka makukuha from Nissan. ganun naman ata talga pag bumili tayo ng auto, dealers put the basic parts to minimize cost. kung gusto mo papalitan ng mas magandang gulong eh additional cost na yun since upgrade ang lumalabas, hehehe.
