Hi Guys, Do you think this unit will fit our GLs? Was planning to buy at amazon...very tempting coz it's cheap...Please see this

Sir i think that would fit, kaya lang naka usli po yun motorized front panel nyan because if push entirely at rear, sasayad po yun slide and thus hindi bubukas when you press the eject button, dahil yun po ang kadalasan ang nagiging experience ng mga LOOPERS, It is advisable na fix face po para safe kaya lang usually mas maliit yun screen nasa 6.2 inch lang compared sa 7 inch ng slide type.

My wife smells that I'm planning to change her GLs HU, she says " Don't change anything in my car, I like it the way it is...why not change your's?! " hehehe... being that said, this idea will be parked in my head...
Actually, I'm just not satisfied with the stock HU sound...bass is all up, treble in 0 but the sound is still "LATA".... Is it the HU or just the speakers????

@alnepo - for me both are tunog lata.

Sirs, I am satified with the HU and sounds of my GL, it is because of six speakers. The sound system are superb, and I dont even tried up to max volume dahil sobrang lakas. Eventhough, pirated MP3 will give good sounds. How much more if I will change my HU to DVD with NAVI system. Gusto ko na nga din palitan para may entertainment naman ang mga passenger ko hindi lang CD and MP3.

Hi Matt, my wife's GL has 2 speakers at front, 2 speakers at back and two tweeters on side mirrors which is the stock system...right? The HU has the 6 disc capacity type. Baka pareho tayo ng system, bakit kaya kulang ang bass nung sa amin???

Subjective kasi yung sounds. Gusto ko medyo malalim yung bass pero kahit walang subs ok na sa akin. Nung inalis nila yung stock speakers ng GL and liit ng magnet, reason why halos walang bass yung speakers. Ang babaw pa ng cone nya. Meron din kaming sasakyan na nag try muna ako palitan yung stock speakers pero ang liit ng improvement. Akala ko mag improve na sya. Umorder tuloy ako ng headunit sa Amazon (kasi mas mura yung Pioneer dun). Will share kung ano improvement after palitan yung HU.

True, very subjective. Okay na siguro, hindi naman nagco-complain si misis sa tunog nung stereo niya eh......Hindi ko na lang bubuksan stereo when I'm driving..

Yes sir, pareho tayo ng system, have you tried to set-up yung HU? Because our HU have not equalizer, I set it up on its max. Meaning, nilagay ko sa max ang bass and treble, also hindi lang sa front naka focus ang speakers, you can set-up like sorround sound yung lahat ng speakers ay gagana equaly. Perhaps, the CD or MP3 that you play in our HU gives a big contrubutions as well.

ako dati ang ginawa ko muna is palit ng stock speakers to separates. mas gumanda tunog plus hati na yung bass and treble, why not change the speakers muna?

Meron akong tip, look for mervin lee sa facebook. He gave me a good deal sa dvd,tv gps unit but chinaheadunit for P15k+ lang. Store is at banawe. Too bad, ndi ko na nakuha yun prospect unit na kukunin ko so hindi pa ako nakakapunta sa kanya.

uy ayus sir ha!! eh di nakapag-install ka na din? me pinabili kasi ako na amplified sub eh, purpose sana eh mas madali maitago pero nung dumating eh malaki pala so no choice but to install it sa likod na nakalabas or modified rear compartment cover para maitago siya.

wala ako shop sir but I can do DiY install for my own ride and so can only recommend shops.
I had mine done my professional installers just because to extend my basic knowledge of the standards of safety in sound competition events..
Tuning is may favorite part after the install is done but can only do so much depende sa headunit.

yun amplified sub nyo sir is yun slim type na pede underseats ng mga sasakyan? or yung normal na speakers na may sariling enclosure?
actually mas buo tumunog yun latter pero pede na yun underseats kun simple listening lang at hindi mahilig sa RnB.

akala ko slim siya pero hindi pala, hehe. papatignan ko nga sa mga audio shop kung paano maitatago eh, kung hindi kaya nakalabas na lang talaga.

Di ba magagawan paraan na nakatayo dun sa likod sa tabi ng fender sa pinalikod?
