Additional tail light double contact bulb.

I noticed that there is a provision for another park/brake light at the lower area of our GL's tail light. I installed an additional double contact bulb for park/brake light purposes. Tail light looks better and more visible. Both bulbs are the same with OEM double contact bulb 12v 5w/21w. Pareho-pareho lang ang liwanag ng 4 na bulbs when actually seen

Wow mas maganda nga.. Papakabit na ko nyan dati pero sa left side lang para rear fog lamps ang dating kaso naging busy kaya hindi natuloy. Mukang mas bagay ung both sides.

I seldom see my GL on the road kasi lagi ako ang may drive nito, but last night I ask our driver to drive it para ma vistahan ko from a distance how it looks like sa gabi. The additional double contact lights made the GL rear look big, it's nice to look at with the tail lights on and pag nag brake ang liwanag ng dating with third brake light on too. Inexpensive upgrade with great effect. This is one of my favorite upgrade.

Double Contact Socket 2pcs x 150 = P300
Double Contact Bosch Bulb 2p x 110 = P220
Labor = P300[u]
TOTAL P800

Sir Binarena using a circular head yun socket provision, then manually shinape yun lock lines para pwede ma twist , lock and seal using the double contact socket. Parang usual na socket and lock ang naging itsura.

Sir please remind the installer to be careful in manually cutting/shaping the locks for the socket, kasi pag na pasobra sya mag kakaroon ng opening/butas or gap dun sa plastice cover sa likod ng tail light na pweding maging cause moisture. If that happens put a 3m tape sa hole or silicon to seal it up .

Malabo din naman mang yari ang moisture kasi my rubber molding naman ang tail light although it's a possibility. Hindi naman nangyari sa akin to pero pinalagyan ko na din ng 3m tape yun palibot ng socket just to make it sure, libre naman kasi.

So for me ok lang na e risk to, kung malaki naman ang gaganda and safety ng GL. Tutal kung mag ka butas man pwedeng e seal and besides nasa likod naman ito ng tail light, d kita and protected naman. HTH in your decision.

ang dami ngang pwedeng ilagay na ilaw. had mine done a week after namin nakuha last october (malapit na pala mag 1 year si GL). pinagisipan ko pa kung euro, single contact or double contact and finally decided on double contact bulbs. napansin ko din na mukha opel zafira ang likod ng GL natin. yung logo pati ilaw parang opel.

After unscrewing it, gently pull it or tungkabin using a srew driver na may basahan sa dulo kasi may lock socket na bakal na nakakabit sa tail light then yun partner hole nya nasa GL body, wag ka matakot matigas lang talaga yan at first and besides bakal naman yun lock kaya d mapuputol. Check out the 1st pic nasa upright part yun male socket, ung isa nasa opposite side. I'm not sure kung tatlo o dalawa ang lock

@markd, Sir, I know one of the partners c Mr. Dong Tan pero most likely wala sya dun, just go there na lang sir and they are hospitable naman in accomodating clients. Meron lalapit na sales rep na maghahandle sa inyo and she will handle your transaction from start until matapos. Or look for there manager c Mr. John Cuevas.

This topic is very helpful. Napundi yung rear right side taillight ko (parklight/breaklight). I will have casa check muna kung may prob sa wiring, if pondida lang bulb, i might have it replaced somewhere else, im sure baka mahal sa casa bumbilya lang hehehe . I might also opt to have this upgrade posted here done on my GL.

I had a new pair of tail lights chrome finisher installed last Nov. 20. I also requested a second brake light on both. Total damage:

Chrome finisher: P2,500
2nd Brake Lights: On the house. Thank you, Nissan-Iloilo

My SA in Nissan Mantrade don't know about the second brake light when i inquired about it. Lucky You Sir steel Pulse that You have an expert casa near You!

Alam na nung SA ko ang dapat gawin. Ganun rin daw ang ginawa nya sa GL ng pinsan nya. Nag tip lang ako sa mechanic na gumawa. Sandali lang ginawa. Siguro mga 30 minutes.
