Kasi mas maganda and mas OEM ang dating nya kesa dun sa isa, well that's just may opinion. Same ata kami ni Mr. President ng kinuha. Ano kinuha mo kay Philip?
OT: nakita mo yung HID with built in angel eyes? ganda nun, kaso ang mahal and i don't like the way they will instal it.

Wiper Blades for GL
Hello fellow loopers,
The rainy days are here. My GL is almost 2 years old in a months time. I usually change my windsheild wiper blade assembly once a year on the start of the rainy season. I think this is one part of the car that is usually negelected. I have a friend who, in 8 years of driving his car, never changed the wiper blades.
Anyway, I had some challenges replacing the wiper blade assembly sa GL natin. I tried the following but was not happy installing it. By the way, our GL's wiper arm is "hook" type. Sizes: driver side = 24 inches / passenger side = 14" / rear = 12". Ang brand ng windsheild wiper that came with GL is "Valeo".
1. Nippon Denso - the one in a blue box at 600 pesos pair na. Comes with 2 adaptors for fitting sa arm, none of them fits. The adoptor from the old assembly is too big para ipalit sana dito sa wiper na to. I ended up removing the rubber from Nippon Denso and installing sa old assembly. It required some nimble fingers. Bad news is, i broke the old assembly. So i went to the next brand.
2. Bosch wiper - tropicalized rubber: 24" at 400 pesos and 14" at 300 pesos. comes with 3 adaptors, but none of them fit the GL's wiper arm. So i had to remove the adaptor from the old OEM wipers that came with the GL. And thank goodness kumasya naman sa bosch.
3. Bosch Aerotwin Blades (Banana Type) - a perfect fit, it has a universal state of the art adapter that locks easly. Downside, its damn expensive at 1,100 - 1,600 pesos for the 24" and 600 for 14". And it looks good on our GL. But...maybe i just came across a lemon product, tahimik nga ang hagod at swabe sana, kaso hindi pantay , may mga streaking lines.
4. Elevo (banana Type - Got this from concorde, it worked well for a few weeks, but now, maingay na sya laging may nag squeel.
5. NWB Design Wipers - At 1,300 pesos, i purchased this just last week, the universal adaptor fits, but the locking feature does not close so i had to remove it. Anyway, ang kabit nya is just like the ordinary wiper assembly that slides into the hook and "clicks" to lock. Meron lang syang extra lock sana to streamline the looks of the wiper. This somewhat a cross breed between a bannana type and conventional wiper. This works better for me now. It just that, di pa rin talaga sakto yung lock.
So for, the best fit was the bosch aerotwin banana type.
As for the rear wiper, i just bought a rubber refill. Just don't throw the metal inserts dun sa original blades, because you will be using this to hold the new refills.
hay, sorry guys at medyo OC ako sa wiper especially ngayon tag ulan. This is one life-line we have, visibility is very crucial on a wet and slippery road. Share naman dyan ng experience nila thanks.

wow sir this is nice. mukhang nakarami na kayo ahh .

Re: Wiper Blades for GL
OC. but well appreciated kasi we don't have to go through the same process.
ako i just replaced the rubber using trico. medyo mahirap tanggalin yung lumang rubber because of the clips pero so far so good. it squeaks a bit but no streaking. mura pa. nanghinayang kasi ako sa oem wipers na meron parang "wind breaker" (for lack of knowledge of the correct term) sa driver side wiper. was looking at bosch din pero walang size at that time and mahal sya. alam ko si pres aln nagpalit din but not sure what brand.

Re: Wiper Blades for GL
@chualie, thank you sir for moving my post, di ko napansin meron na palang thread about it hehehe. Anyway, GL's oem wiper is from a good known brand "Valeo", US made. Kaya lang mukhang matagal na nakakabit at naka stock ito sa GL ko sa casa kaya in a few months pagkabili kay GL eh napupunit unti-unti yung rubber.

Re: Wiper Blades for GL
I had my passenger side wiper blade replaced. I bought mine sa Nissan Gallery Ortigas and ok naman ang fit wherein the guy who sold me the part told me that original replacement part yun for the Livina. Bought it for around 200 bucks if I am not mistaken. My advise to everyone is to make sure the wiper blades are also kept clean by using car shampoo or any non oil based cleaner para tumagal ito. Visually inspect for cracks or rips and if present, buy a refill or replace completely using OEM parts (should work best and last longer) or if your in a tight budget any reputable replacements.

Re: Wiper Blades for GL
^^ agree with the inspection. minsan kasi hindi nalilinisan ito sa carwash kaya yung mga dumi sa blades tumitigas. ito rin minsan ang reason kung bakit me streakes.
