shock absorber

Just want to share this, last December i noticed an oily residue on one of the shock absorber (rear left), since maraming kaming balikbayan nung time na un hindi ko siya naasikaso, just last month may napansin na akong kumakalampag sa ilalim lalo na pagnalulubak, kaya dinala ko si Levie sa Nissan Libis to have it evaluate good thing at nagawan nila agad ng report and have it forwarded on that day sa NMPI so the next day tinawagan ako ng taga CRD (Customer Relation Dept.) and inform me that my request was aprroved and tatawagan nalang nila ulit ako pag dumating na yong parts para madala ko si Levie sa casa. Inabot din ng almost 3 weeks bago dumatiing ung parts kung hindi ko kinulit ung taga CRD baka ngayon wala pa, ibang iba sa Toyota ung Altis ko kasi dati i week lang from the day na inapprove nila andyan agad ung parts naka 4 na shock absorber din ako doon good thing under warranty lahat, anyway balik sa Levie napalitan nila kahapon half day lang nila na ginawa and pinacheck ko na rin ung 3 shocks kung ok pa habang pasok pa sa warranty, ngayong june kasi 3 yrs. old na si Levie.

i think si sir emms nag-palit na din ng shocks sa Livina niya. observation ko lang sa parts ng GL, since medyo bago pa sa market yung GL natin medyo matagal din ang pagkuha dito dahil galing pa sa planta/NMPI lahat. naiintindihan ko yung part na yun, pero naman huwag naman nilang antayin na tayong customer ang kukulit sa kanila para lang mangulit din sila sa planta...

anyway, balak ko din pa check yung pang-ilalim ng GL ko sa 20k PMS kaya bago ko dalhin sa CASA papa-underwash ko muna para sure na malinis at makita nila yung problema kung meron man. kaya lang, hindi kaya mawala din yung mantsa ng leak kung meron?

Also don't forget to request for re-tightening of all nuts and bolts in the underchassis during all PMS. I don't know kung may charge yan, but sa Nissan Iloilo, wala.

Yes sir allan nagpalit na ako ng shock absorber ( 1 piece ) nung 25k odometer. 1 month bago dumating.. Nabasag nga din lens ng sidemirror ko buong assembly binebenta sa akin worth 8,200. Pumunta na lang ako sa gawaan ng salamin at nagpasalpak muna ng temporary worth 30 petot.

huwwaaatttt? napaka mahal naman nun?!! kung nasa manila ka lang baka pwede sa aguila glass ka nakapag-pagawa.

Mga loopers, Just had my 30k PMS and one recommendation is to replace one shock at the front. Nissan southwoods is saying this is not covered by warranty since this is a wear and tear part but I saw somewhere here that other Casa replaced it under warranty. Wala bang standard policy and NMPI dito? I am just surprised na ganun sya kadali masira eh yung ibang wear and tear parts like bushing ay hindi pa sira so I am requesting Nissan southwoods for reconsideration.

Sino sino pa ba rito ang nakapagpalit ng shock na covered ng warranty so I can make it a precedent case.

It is the SA who has a say if he will approve a warranty replacement or not and even though this is a wear and tear component, it depends on what caused the premature wear. If it is a manufacturing defect then it is covered but if it is not such as collision then it may not be approved. I would suggest you go to another service center such as Nissan shaw or QA and ask for a 2nd opinion. Please be reminded that the replacement of shock absorbers should be in pairs.

my rear shock absorbers were replaced by my dealer (shaw) this year, buti na lang parehas nagkaroon ng leak. at first ayaw nila palitan pero i insisted na kahit ba part ng wear and tear ang shock absorbers eh napaka-bilis naman ata masira nito since less than 3 years pa lang yung unit, daily driven within the city and two passengers lang madalas. pinagawan nila ako ng letter sa NMPI and my claim was approved. if you want, try mo sa shaw dalin to double check and for warranty claim.
